Ten Months

Fall is already almost over and I am simply not ready for the winter! Trying to mentally prepare myself for a few months spent indoors with these goofy girls, but I also know that we have so much to look forward to, including Lark's first Christmas and birthday. For now, I'm trying to prepare for another family trip back to Jax for a wedding and baby-proofing this house for a fully mobile baby.

Likes:
She is fully obsessed with Daniel right now
Any crunchy food
Dancing to anything that could even come close to being music
Chewing on her spoons and bibs
Attention! You better be engaged with her or she is going to screech
Sneaking into her sister's room when we aren't looking
Standing in the wagon while we walk (which we have to stop because it is dangerous!)
Chasing the dogs all over the house

Dislikes:
Sleeping through the night
Not being held when she wants attention
Solids when she is tired of working for the food
Her walker (she just hasn't gotten the hang of it yet)
Sitting still for pictures

Schedule:
After a few late night wake ups (one, if we're lucky!) we're up and moving by 6 am these days, 7 at the very latest. Get the girls ready for daycare by 7:45 and they're off for the day. Daniel was recently laid off form his job (again) and has decided to go in a totally different career direction. So he is doing classes and helping around the house during the day while I work. Pick the girlies up by 5 and then dinner/bath/bedtime. Lark is in bed by 7. On the weekends, we're pretty much down to two naps solidly. Its so hard to keep track of absolutely anything with Frankie and Lark both.... we just hope we're feeding her enough most days! It's roughly 4-5 6 oz bottles daily with lots of snacks and solids in between.

Features:
Holding strong at four teeth so far. In 9-12 month or 12 month clothing and still in size 3 diapers, although I'll bet that will change before the end of this next month. Her straight brown hair is coming over her ears finally and its almost long enough for the baby ponytail on the top of her head. She's full of goofy toothy grins and loves to use her voice right now! Those dimples still take my breath away every single time. Her eyes have settled into their final medium/dark brown and I love them.

Firsts:
Apple picking
Halloween
Trick or treating
Ice cream
Mommy's birthday

Challenges:
I need sleep. Like, a lot. 10 months in and this girl has MAYBE slept through the night a handful of times. I'm grateful for the few nights she did it this month, but it is so exhausting. I am sure Frankie was the same way and I just don't remember because there wasn't another child in the mix and I could nap sometimes...

Thoughts:
I'm looking forward to the holidays with Lark SO MUCH. I know I will be exhausted and that our budget is so tight, but the girls wont know the difference. They will just be thrilled there is a tree and any little toys we can get them.
