Week 30: Some Pretty and Not-So-Pretty Moments

 

Another week closer to meeting this baby girl and I am getting super antsy! I am swollen all over, have a hard time maneuvering close to the sink to do the dishes or reaching things on the floor (cleaning Frankie's room is now done on my hands and knees). In general, it was a pretty uncomfortable week in pregnancy, but nothing specifically bad or good! Just large and uncomfortable.

This week, I got my Covid-19 vaccine booster shot and it absolutely knocked me on my butt. I didn't have very much of a reaction to the first two shots, so I was not prepared for how sick I would be. Muscle aches, fever, chills, sweats, headache... you name it, I had it. Luckily, the worst of it passed in 12 hours and I was back to my usual pregnancy discomfort by the next day.

How far along? 30 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes, for sure. And only shoes that slip on.
Stretch marks? Nope!
Ankle Watch: Had to take off my plantar fasciitis braces once this week due to the swelling...... lets hope they can stay minimal!
Sleep: It was daylight savings fall back this week. I have a 2 year old. You tell me.
Best moment(s) this week: I was feeling like complete garbage from my Covid booster shot on Tuesday. I can't remember the last time I was so sick. When I told Frankie how sick I was, she said "Hold my hand. You take medicine? You drink water?" and my whole heart just melted. Pregnancy SUCKS. But these sweet moments of having a kiddo are what make it so worth while.
Miss Anything? Being hungry for full, normal meals
Movement: Yes, and lots of hiccups and rolls this week. 
Food cravings: Nothing. I just snack all the time. So sad.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eating too much gives me pretty intense back pain and not eating give me indigestion. Its fun.
Gender: Girly girl
Labor Signs: I haven't noticed anything new.
Pregnancy Symptoms: Lightning crotch! OW! I thought I was going to get away with this pregnancy not having any, but I have had to double over a few times this week from lightning zaps to my cervix. 
Belly Button in or out? O-U-T
Rings on or off? Still on. 
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, besides being down from the count with the booster.
Looking forward to: Our anniversary! Tomorrow, we celebrate 5 years married and we got a little cabin in Black Mountain for the night. Excited for a night with just Daniel!... well, and Lark, although she can't really leave us alone just yet.
