WHOOPS. Here I am, blogging almost a full week late. And obviously.... my picture above isn't really my best work. Sorry, Lark, but welcome to the world of Second Baby Problems. This week was so weirdly busy, but not in a defined way. Like, there were no major events or visitors, but it felt like my spare time was taken up with naps or cleaning. I had doctor's appointments and hair cuts, and a dog that was sick all night for several nights in a row. I had a lot of work to do on proposals for my job. We went out on a date to the Grove Park Inn to celebrate our friend's birthday. We finished the kitchenette in the basement and spent a lot of time with Frankie and it was just.... busy! A good, exhausting, busy week.
A really bright spot was seeing Lark again at my doctor's appointment. She was far more photogenic this time and showed off her long legs, played with her feet and sucked her thumb. I honestly cannot wait to see her little face. The visit was a good one, and next month I have my gestational diabetes test and I start visiting more often as I near my third trimester. I'm developing the fun hip/crotch/leg pain that comes with getting bigger. Lark is weighing in at 1lb 7oz, and will be gaining about 6oz a week for a little while here. No wonder I am so starving!
How far along? 23 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Nope
Ankle Watch: SO sore. I did a lot of physical activity and wore heels once, so I'm not shocked.
Sleep: I'm pretty exhausted.
Best moment(s) this week: Seeing Lark sucking her thumb and playing with her toes during our ultrasound.
Miss Anything? Just feeling normal.
Movement: Lots and lots. I really do love this part.
Food cravings: If it is food, I want it. So hungry!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still some meats/seafood.
Gender: Confirmed again, girl.
Labor Signs: No.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I feel like I am carrying this baby in my actual knees. I'm carrying this pregnancy way lower, and unfortunately, that is translating to some serious pain, swelling, and pressure in my lower half. Like, in the worst ways.
Belly Button in or out? Nearing flat.
Rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy. It was a good week, even though it was a little crazy!
Looking forward to: It's officially the first week of fall and the leaves are starting to change ever so slightly. I am looking forward to this season so so so much!
