Week 13: Goodbye, First Tri

Whether 12 weeks or 13 weeks or 14 weeks is what google tells you, I am officially now done with the first trimester. Knowing I will deliver Lark earlier than 40 weeks also means I KNOW we're all done here. And mostly, I do feel a lot better than I did a few weeks ago!

This week flew by, but not for fun reasons. Thursday night, Frankie got sick. Five days of a grumpy, sick toddler stuck indoors in the beautiful NC summer is rough, but she's finally feeling better and back at school. Daniel and I are finally able to get some cleaning and projects done again with both she and I feeling better. In general, its feeling like we're all on the mend! I know better though. The third trimester will be tough on me, so we've decided to try to get as much as we can done before those 30-weeks arrive.

I also felt my first little baby wiggles in my belly this week. I know she is pretty anterior (guessing by how hard it was to find her heartbeat), but I absolutely felt something this week that wasn't gas or food. I was skeptical since it is earlier than last time, but after a few similar feeling movements I can't deny it's probably her. Movement was the ONLY thing I missed about Frankie's pregnancy, so I am really excited to feel this part start. Having a poptart in the morning and watching my belly just roll all over the place was so much fun!

How far along? 13 weeks
Maternity clothes? Absolutely
Stretch marks? No, just more varicose veins
Ankle Watch: Still fine
Sleep: Besides the few nights this weekend up with a sick toddler, its been okay.
Best moment(s) this week: REALLY feeling my first wiggle in there.
Miss Anything? Not really. It's been a good week!
Movement: The occasional roll off to the left is where I'm really feeling it. Maybe once every other or third day.
Food cravings: I demanded Daniel go get me a Cookout shake this week, but still only really interested in unhealthy foods in general
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, but random waves still come
Gender: She's a lady
Labor Signs: No
Pregnancy Symptoms: Belly is feeling giant and "in the way" more. Lots of bathroom breaks. Headaches and one big bad migraine (remind me to drink more water!).
Belly Button in or out? In
Rings on or off? On, mostly. I've had to take them off a few times after playing outside with Frankie.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: All the glorious food of the second trimester and feeling stronger kicks
