Week 7: Too Busy for Nausea
Our friends have arrived for the first week of summer! On Friday afternoon, Mike, Emily, Harrison, and Harper arrived for a week in the mountains. Frankie was DELIGHTED to have friends to play with all week long. We have been so busy, its been hard to even think much about the pregnancy. I was worried about how sick I would be, but with the samples of Bonjesta my doctor gave me, I've been doing pretty well with nausea. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover it, so I have two weeks for my body to figure it out before I have to stop taking it. I'll appreciate the break while I can get it.
With our guests, we've gone to about a dozen breweries, done several hikes, and even got a kid-free day date at Biltmore thanks to Grandma Susan. They're heading back to Florida today, and while we will miss them so much, the forced quality time of living far from each other and vacation visits is really special. They seem to have had a good time, so maybe they will come back. :)

How far along? 7 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes. Emily commented that I had no bump when she arrived and a very noticeable bump when she left today.
Stretch marks? No
Ankle Watch: Still good.
Sleep: My anti-nausea medication is part sleeping pill... it is helping me sleep through the night finally, but also not helping my daytime exhaustion.
Best moment(s) this week: Having so much quality time with our friends
Miss Anything? Definitely beer
Movement: No
Food cravings: Relatively even-keeled... although it may have been because we were so distracted and busy. Just trying to consistently eat at all.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Except the day I forgot to take my meds, I've been okay! Having two extra kids in the house will help distract the mind... and the stomach.
Gender: ?
Labor Signs: No
Pregnancy Symptoms: Round ligament pain when sneezing/coughing/laughing, getting shaky when I haven't eaten for a little bit, exhaustion
Belly Button in or out? In
Rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! Can we stay on vacation with friends forever?
Looking forward to: Our second sonogram next week. I get so nervous because the meds make me feel a lot less sick and well... I want to make sure everything is okay in there.
