Week 5: Adventures in Sunscreen
Here I am with my already-big bump. I'm making a face at Daniel, who was laughing at me for sucking in. Why is this thing so large and in charge again? I know I wasn't in GREAT shape, but this second baby belly is insane.
It was an eventful, but exhausting week. On Saturday morning, the grandparents took Frankie for a little while so that Daniel and I could take the kayaks out on Lake Lure together. We paddled four miles- pretty impressive for my first time kayaking AND freshly pregnant. However, one thing I didn't account for was sunscreen. I got my first Teva sunburn on my feet and ankles and BOY is it bad. Lesson learned! Even when its 70 degrees out, you need to put on some sunscreen. Really loving the moments that Daniel and I cut out to just be together. It was something I absolutely took for granted before Frankie was born, and now I have come to treasure.
On Wednesday, I had another blood test. I am so ready to get to the ultrasound part of pregnancy, but I know there isn't too much to see in there right now. Little thing is only the size of a peppercorn. My Beta levels had risen to 29,272, which the nurse said was perfect. Now our ultrasound is scheduled for next Tuesday and I am so eager to see this little peanut!
